The students awoke this morning to the beautiful view of the ocean.

We shared a delicious breakfast across the way and then headed out for a new adventure. With the sun shining and the waves crashing the students played a game of beach volleyball and cooled off in the hotel pool.

In Photography, students explored the local streets of Kona, the local market, shops, and landscapes to capture representations of “Hawaii” and then shared their photos to the class. Biology students began their introduction to classification, while the English class discussed the definition of art in the world.

This evening we celebrated Jacklyn’s 16th birthday. The group joined forces and serenaded the restaurant in the tune of Happy Birthday. The staff even prepared a sweet birthday treat for Jacklyn and friends to celebrate. To top it all off, we watched the beautiful sunset of purples and pinks fill the sky.
