Piazza Michelangelo

Tutti a Tavola a Mangiare!

We’ve been in Florence for days now and we’re turning into quite the family! We’ve tried the local cuisine, mostly pizza and sausage and we must say, the pizza is great!

On Monday we walked up to Piazza Michelangelo to get a panoramic view of the city and it was breathtaking. The red clay roofs, Ponte Vecchio, and Brunelleschi’s Duomo are truly beautiful! (We’re climbing that Duomo tomorrow! 500 steps! Oh dear!)

Tuesday we snuck in some class time and clearly, the heavens were opposed to this because the day ended in a downpour! Which was great! How many other people can say they danced in the rain in the streets of Florence?

This morning we haggled in the leather market which was difficult and awesome! So many beautiful bags (and so many merchants putting them in your hands!). Bags for 10 Euro, or 100, all sizes types, styles, and mostly all leather.

Tomorrow after class it’s the Uffizi!
A Domani!
