It has been an amazing three weeks here in Florence. We’ve been to Rome, Pisa, Venice, Sienna, and Castiglioncello. We’ve walked for miles, had the best gelato, the best pizza, and the best cannoli! We’ve seen David, the Pantheon, the Trevi fountain, and the bridge of sighs. We’ve seen Cosimo di Medici’s collection of masterpieces at the Uffizi and seen the gold sold on Ponte Vecchio.
We’ve seen so much, and yet it seems like there’s so much more to see. So we won’t say ‘goodbye’ to Florence, but ‘arrivederci’ because we’re sure we’ll see Florence again!
Our little Blyth Academy family was amazing. We’ll miss Rowan’s deep talks and life lessons, David’s ability to find the best spots, Brooklyn’s quiet way of taking in a whole scene and then coming out with a comment that sums up the entire situation. Alexis’ beautiful way of asking what everyone is thinking, Max’s calm way of including everyone without anyone realizing it, and Josh’s way of calming the tribe when the tribe got too crazy.
So we’ll say arrivederci Firenze, and arrivederci to our Blyth family. It’s been a blast and we hope to see you all again soon.
