Chichen Itza

Some of our group had the opportunity to experience Chichen Itza. It was a long travel day but well worth it as students had the chance to see the Mayan ruins and go for a refreshing swim after. Chichen Itza (or Chicken Pizza for those who can’t remember according to their guide) was spectacular. The ruins all had a story that linked them to the gods of old.

The guide was also a master storyteller that made the scorching heat that day almost bearable. Luckily students had the chance to cool off after a buffet lunch at an amazing center nearby. It was also a chance to work off that lunch since the mineral-rich water made it impossible to float.

Many students dubbed this excursion the highlight of the program.

Thank you for your interest in Blyth Academy International Summers.

After careful consultation with our staff and vendors, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all International Summer programs for the 2020 season. Given significant and widespread disruptions to global travel, and the uncertainty of when operations will return to normal, it is simply not possible to plan and operate these programs to our high standards of safety and execution.

If you were planning to leverage our International Summers program to reach ahead and earn a credit over the summer, there are many alternatives available, including Summer School courses at our bricks and mortar Academies, Blyth Academy Online and our newly launched Virtual Summer School.

For more information, or to talk through possible options, please contact the Admissions team via admissions@blytheducation.com or 416-960-3552. The Admissions team can also speak to you about options to complete the current academic year if this is of interest as well.
