As we come to a close in our first week here in Cozumel the group has taken part in many valuable experiences both inside and out of the classroom. We have been blessed with beautiful weather and have definitely come together as a group very well. The group has thoroughly enjoyed their experience studying abroad!

Today was the last day for our group taking part in the PADI certification course where they did their first 60 foot dive. It was a priceless experience as the group encountered a variety of underwater species consisting of a nurse shark (yes a shark but a harmless one) sea turtle, lobster, barracuda, sea snakes, eels and a colourful coral reef. The experience was described by the students as extremely peaceful and very exciting to see so much underwater wildlife.

Today was also the day of Daniel Goldbands birthday today! We celebrated at dinner with a cake and a gift from the trip leaders for his horse back riding excursion coming up on Sunday. What a special way to spend his 16th birthday! Looking forward to the weeks ahead and for more invaluable experiences to take place.
