About This Program

Featuring some of the most spectacular beaches and other natural beauty spots in the Pacific, this stunning archipelago consists of more than 19 volcanic islands, offering visitors touristy urban wonderlands and remote jungle hideaways.

With its two massive mountains and the world’s tallest volcano, the Big Island, Hawaii, towers over the seas below. Home to 11 separate ecological zones, Hawaii is the perfect place to study diverse plant and animal species and climates, from the Green Sand Beach to the coffee plantations of Kona. Ascend to the top of the world’s tallest volcano, Mauna Kea, where the temperature drops and snowball fights can often be had! Following in the footsteps of great astronomers, students can study the moon, stars and planets on a stargazing excursion.

Maui, the second-largest island in the chain, offers visitors a plethora of sporting options, with over 30 beaches and bays to snorkel and surf. It’s also a great place to take in the unique culture of the islands, with gorgeous scenery; a historic whaling village; and Lahaina, a historic town transformed into a Maui hot spot, with dozens of art galleries and a variety of unique shops and restaurants.

Kauai, known as the Garden Island, dazzles with spectacular emerald mountains, endless beautiful beaches, and well-cared-for green spaces. The island’s beauty has attracted the eye of Hollywood, and has made over 70 appearances in movies and TV shows! Take advantage of Kauai’s many outdoor attractions, including a gorgeous coastal hike, surfing and stand-up paddleboarding in Hanalei Bay, as well as an authentic Hawaiian luau, the perfect way to say aloha to this amazing archipelago.

SPECIAL PROGRAM NOTE: Hawaii has banned the use of sunscreens that contain the chemicals oxybenzone and octinoxate, which are known to bleach coral reef. When purchasing sunscreen, look for biodegradable creams that help protect the health and nutrients of the underwater ecosystem.
