Rome & Greece 2016: Ostia Beach & Frascati

Ciao from Italia! Today was our last day in the land of pizza, pasta and prosciutto, and we had quite an eventful day planned for the students. We began this morning with an optional excursion to Osita beach, where romans go to beat the heat. Of course we had our own section booked right by the water, complete with umbrellas, chairs, and even our own private locker rooms! Ostia also has a very quaint town with shops and restaurants that students could easily get to during our morning beach session.

Once we wrapped up our fun in the sun, we headed back to the city to pack for tomorrow’s departure to Greece, and also to dress to impress, as we had a dinner reservation in Frascati at a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful view of all of Rome!

Frascati, famous for its authentic Italian food, Museums and Villas and breathtaking views is where we departed to in the afternoon for an incredible dinner to say the least! It was a family style meal where students and staff passed around pizzas, gnocchi, platters of meat and vegetables! It was by far the best meal I’ve had this week and what a fantastic end to our Italy portion of the program! After dinner we watched the sun set over the now very familiar Roma, our home for the last week of our lives.

Onward to Greece tomorrow bright and early!
