Today was an early day for us all.

We were up and ready for breakfast at our wonderful resort in Sardinia at 6:30am. We boarded the bus and headed to our ferry boat which took us to Civitavecchia. Once on our ferry some students snuck in a quick power nap before classes started. Some classes used this time to write a test, others had lessons and others had independent work periods. Before we knew it our 6.5 hour ferry ride was over and we had arrived in Civitavecchia. From there we boarded a bus that took us to our final destination, Rome.

Upon arriving in Rome we split into 3 small groups for an orientation around Rome tour. The guides explained some of the history of Rome along with very practical advice for the students about how to use the subway stations. We then headed into town, using the subway. Once we arrived in the Piazza del Polpolo, students were given some free time to explore or grab some gelato prior to heading right back home for dinner.

Tomorrow some of us will be visiting the Leonardo da Vinci museum along with hopefully attending a traditional Italian mass here in Rome.

Buona notte,

Natasha and Andrew
