Double your Community Service hours on our extended 24-day program for summer 2017 to both Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Not only can you complete ALL your community service hours, you’ll also save $1000 by choosing the combined program++!

By combining our two-week Community Service program to Nicaragua with our two-week Community Service program to Costa Rica, students will have the unique opportunity to explore the unbelievable diversity of two fascinating Central American nations, all while completing their community service hours.

In Nicaragua, we will begin on the beaches of San Juan del Sur volunteering at an organization that gives low-income youth and adults new educational tools.

Next, on Ometepe Island, home to the Concepción and Maderas volcanoes, we will work with an organization to raise awareness for sustainability and participate in recycling projects.

Our last stop in Nicaragua is the country’s oldest colonial city, Granada, where we will strive to foster a love of learning through tutoring students at La Esperanza.

We will cross the border and begin our Costa Rican adventure in La Fortuna, where we will release wildlife back into their natural habitats.

We will then travel to Monteverde with its famous Monteverde Cloud Forest reserve, where will we work with a self-sustaining coffee plantation to learn how we can protect this beautiful environment sustainably.

We will end our four-week journey in Playas del Coco, to enjoy ocean and beach fun, as well as an evening participating with meal planning and preparing dinner for local children, all before our farewell banquet. This back-to-back program covers the best of Nicaragua and Costa Rica, all in one month.

Cruise of the Isletas de Granada, visit to the Artisan Masaya Market, volcano hike, swim in Ojo de Agua, hot springs at Arenal Volcano, night hike in Monteverde, and a Costa Rican cooking class.

Are you flying into Toronto Pearson International Airport to join the group?

Blyth airport staff will meet students flying into Toronto Pearson International Airport from any city with same-day connections to Blyth group flights at no additional charge. Once your student is registered, please email studentservices@blytheducation.com no later than Thursday, June 1st and request an “Airport Meet-and-Greet in Toronto”.

Are you making your own flight arrangements?

Students who make their own flight arrangements for this program can be met individually by Blyth staff at the destination airport and transferred to our accommodation at no additional charge. Once your student is registered, please email studentservices@blytheducation.com no later than Thursday, June 1st and request an “Airport Meet-and-Greet in destination”.
